P3 Plan for Script

It has been decided that the main idea the creative team and I will focus on is the Prologue as it is really important to present the beginning of the show correctly and excitingly.  The Prologue will include the presentation of the setting, which is a small Northern, Yorkshire Town that may seam far away from the war Torn European Continent but as the media and local politicians(like the mayor) put it, War is here in Yorkshire and the people must work together to defeat the Germans.  The start of the prologue will introduce the mayor speaking to the townsfolk and he will speak of the historical events playing out like Churchill becoming PM, Dunkirk etc. Afterwards the audience will be introduced to our two main protagonists Xander and Rosie.  They will be introduced by showing there troubles, Xander who mourns the death of his Brother in the war so far and Rosie who struggles to live with her father who has Shellshock(PTSD) from ww1.  By the end of the prologue, as it turns night we are finally introduced to the threat of this series: John David Smith. Don't let his very English name deceive you, he is secretly a German spy tasked with causing resistance in Northern England.  He will appear at night in a small plane and will be introduced by telling a German officer his cover story and then he will run of into the woods to start his plan.

P2 Developed ideas

In this mind map created above by the creative team and I, we have discussed two main story ideas that should be focused on, which are the Prologue and the Secret Nazi Meeting.  Both are strong sections of this series that will have to be perfected on to a high amount as they are key parts of the show and crucial to the development of characters like the two main protagonists and the main antagonists.  I have come up with many pros and cons for the two main ideas so i can choose which one gets priority effort on during production

Pros and Cons for Prologue:  Pros - Arguably the prologue is the most important section of the series as it presents the setting and characters that will be involved in the show, the beginning of the characters arc will be instrumental into creating an emotional and relatable confection between the characters and the audience.  Cons - A long and detailed prologue will make most audiences bored and uninterested therefor it may be best to make a prologue that is fast and gets straight into the action to keep the audiences on their toes.

Pros and Cons for Secret Nazi Meeting:  Pros - This scene is instrumental to create a sense of fear and hatred towards the main antagonist who, in this scene kills a man in cold blood.  This scene will be the first instance of the audience seeing how bad the threat is against the main protagonists.  Cons - This scene may be problematic for the age restrictions that are based around the target audience.  The age rating will have to be a 15 as the client wishes that we follow the target audience of 15-21 therefor a scene where a man dies in cold blood and Nazis running around preaching their madness will be inappropriate for 15 year olds.
